Modular Energy Devices has a strong management
team with a solid track record of success.

Sanjay
Deshpande, VP and General Manager
–
Mr. Deshpande has 30 years of experience
in the US battery industry. Currently,
he is also Vice President of Aerospace
and Defense at EnerSys, the majority
shareholder of Modular Energy Devices.
Prior to joining EnerSys in 2003, Mr.
Deshpande was Vice President of Corporate
Development at Exide Technologies, which,
in 2000, acquired GNB Technologies where
he had served as Chief Technology Officer.
He began his career at Honeywell Power
Sources Center as a research engineer
in lithium primary batteries. Mr. Deshpande
holds an MBA and MS in Engineering from
the University of California at Los
Angeles, USA, and a BS in Chemical Engineering
from Osmania University, Hyderabad,
India.

Stephen
Eaves, VP of Technology –
Stephen S. Eaves is the inventor of
the ModEnergy massively parallel cell
technology. Mr. Eaves has 15 years of
experience in battery applications,
power electronics and control system
development. He is the former president
and founder of Eaves Devices, an energy
storage and power systems engineering
company incorporated in the year 2000.
Eaves Devices is responsible for the
development of the battery management
system for the Navy Advanced Seal Delivery
Vehicle, the B2 Bomber Lithium-ion Battery
Upgrade, the Navy Light Torpedo Development
Vehicle, the XSS-11 satellite battery
electronics and numerous other demanding
energy storage applications. Mr. Eaves
has authored or coauthored six published
papers related to battery management
and power electronics. He has seven
patents issued or pending. Mr. Eaves
holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical
Engineering from the University of Connecticut.

Farshid
Bakhtyari, VP of Engineering
– Mr. Bakhtyari has over 17 years
of experience related to hardware and
software engineering. He has worked
for companies such as Haemonetics, IBM,
Seagate Software, VERITAS and Symantec.
Mr. Bakhtyari brings skills in developing
and managing projects related to graphical
user interfaces, networked and Internet
connected devices. Mr. Bakhtyari holds
a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering
and a Master of Science Degree in Computer
Architecture from Northeastern University
in Boston.
